“Hraparak”: Romanos Petrosyan’s Godson to Receive a Government Position
The “Hraparak Daily” newspaper writes:
“According to our information, in the coming days Romanos Petrosyan is going to appoint his godson, Liparit Margaryan, as the director of the Charentsavan electricity network. He previously served as the administrative head of the Arzakan community and is now preparing to take a more ‘lucrative’ position with a higher salary.
We asked Liparit Margaryan: Is it true that you are Romanos Petrosyan’s godson and that you will soon head the Charentsavan electricity network?
‘There is such talk, but what does being a godson have to do with it?’
But are you Romanos Petrosyan’s godson?
‘I am his godson, I don’t deny it. It’s not like because I am Romanos Petrosyan’s godson, I should get a new job. I was the administrative head of the Arzakan community for nine years.’
In those nine years, you presumably had time to gain experience managing a community. Do you have the ability to manage an electricity network?
‘Well, yes, we do.’
It should be noted that the director of the Charentsavan electricity network was Martik Manasyan, from the ‘Strong Armenia’ party, whom Romanos dismissed from his position in order to appoint his godson.”
